Breeding Priorities

Denali Legend strives to produce happy, vigorous and sound puppies.

We guarantee that all our dogs are health-checked prior to breeding. We typically assess hips and elbows for any evidence of dysplasia, perform thyroid evaluations and eyes are CERF-tested.

We feel that Denali Legend dogs are special family members. To help ensure that each puppy receives a fabulous start in life, we are personally there to oversee and supervise the puppies' births and the critical first weeks of life. All puppies are born and raised in their own whelping room in our home.

Having a Tibetan Mastiff should be a rewarding lifetime commitment. To guarantee that each puppy becomes a valuable and cherished member of his family for his entire life, we believe it essential that new owners obligate themselves to learning as much as possible about the breed. These dogs have numerous positive and endearing characteristics but Tibetan Mastiffs also exhibit challenging traits that demand owner preparedness and interaction. All potential homes will be carefully screened by the breeder. It is expected that new homes are to be prepared with adequate fenced facilities that are escape-proof. No Denali Legend puppies will be left unattended on tie-out chains!

To help promote the well-being of each puppy, we feed a very high quality dog food. New owners are encouraged to do the same.

All our dogs and puppies are highly socialized. New owners are urged to take their puppy classes to keep up the socializing process.

Puppies have all appropriate vaccinations and are microchipped prior to leaving our home.

We care about the welfare of our puppies long after they have left our homes and we like to keep in touch with all puppy owners. We expect updates and pictures of our babies as they grow.

As Denali is the Great One, we feel all our puppies are destined for Greatness!
